More dinner with Saxby

Scary predator with fanged mouth by jugular?
No problem!

My super friend and amazing horse trainer got some pictures of dinner with Saxby last weekend.

As you can see, Lisa is standing at Saxby's shoulder-which for a life long domestic horse isn't that big a deal. It's huge for Saxby! We got her to face up and follow quite easily but standing any where past about eyeball location took a lot of time and gentle persuasion. Lisa really is amazing, that's not just hyperbole.

Keeping my ear on you...

I love how Saxby's left ear is always pointed at Lisa no matter what is going on.

And the very best one yet, Saxby's shoulder scratch face. I can not express how amusing she is when you find the scratchy spot. Her expression is a lot different than any of my other horses or even Lisa's other mustangs. Maybe because it's so foreign to her and the domestic horses are blasé about it now? She arches her neck and curls her lips and, I promise!, sticks her tongue out. It's especially itchy under her mane on her right shoulder.
Curled lip and visible tongue marks the spot
